The Mooer MEP-RK Red Kid is a vocal simulation pedal that bridges the gap between a wah and a talk box, replicating two distinct vocal sounds akin to those from a talk box or vocoder.
Operated like a traditional wah pedal, the Red Kid is highly expressive and eliminates the need for microphones or rubber hoses—just integrate it into your effects chain like any other pedal. The Red Kid features Mooer’s unique pressure-sensing footswitch for instant operation, making it easier than ever to make your guitar “talk.”
The Red Kid offers three types of switching:
- Touch the pressure-sensing pad with your foot to turn on the effect. Release your foot to turn it off.
- Double-tap the pressure-sensing pad to turn on the effect. It will remain on until you double-tap it again.
- Use both techniques mentioned above for switching the effect on and off.
